Mantras
Mantras are energy-based sounds. Saying any word produces an actual physical vibration. Over time, if we know what the effect of that vibration is, then the word may come to have meaning associated with the effect of saying that vibration or word. This is one level of energy basis for words. Another level is intent. Actual physical vibration when coupled with a mental intention, the vibration then contains an additional mental component, which influences the result of saying it. The intent when overlaid upon the waveform of the sound as the carrier wave. Although there is a general meaning, which comes to be associated with mantras, the only lasting definition is the result or effect of saying the mantra.Gayatri Mantra, Mahamritunjay Matra, Surya Mantra, Ganesh Mantra, Laxmi Mantra etc.
The Gayatri Mantra is the universal prayer enshrined in the Vedas, the most ancient Scriptures of Man. A Universal prayer is that which is to be chanted with devotion for one's spiritual benefit in all the ages in any part of the world. We have to recite the Mantra as follows.

MANTRA
Mantras are basically sounds and vibrations. Mantras are the purest form of Param Brahm- God. Mantra is the generator of this whole universe. Big bang that created whole universe is also a Mantra because it is a sound or vibration. There are many types of Mantras few are given below:
Vedic Mantra: Mantras taken from Vedas are called Vedic Mantras. These mantras are written in Sanskrit Language.
Beej Mantra: Every alphabet of Sanskrit language is a Beej Mantra. Beej means seed. All other mantras have originated from beej mantras.
Shabar Mantra: Nav Naths created these mantras for common people who were not able to read and understand Sanskrit language. These mantras are written in simplified language used in daily routine.
Tantric Mantra: Tantric mantras can have beej mantras and also Sanskrit words. They can be of single alphabet or collection of many alphabets or words.
Beej Mantras
Every Beej Mantra represents to a God or Goddess. Here are few Beej Mantras:
Om Pranav Mantra also called Pranav represents to Nirakar Param Brahm- God.
aim saraswati beej also called 'Vaagbhv' represents to Goddess Saraswati.
hreem Maya Beejis called Maya Beej and represents to Goddess Bhuvneshwari.
Kleem Kaam Beejis 'Kaam Beej' It represents Goddess kali and Lord Krishna also.
Shreem Shree Beejis 'Shree Beej' and it is the beej mantra of Goddess Lakshmi.
Ganesh Beejrepresents to Lord Ganesh.
Ramrepresents to Lord Ram and also Rahu in Navgraha (Nine planets).
Shiv Beejis the Beej Mantra of Lord Shiv.
Durga Beej Mantrais the Beej Mantra of Goddess Durga.
Hleem Baglamukhi Beej Mantrais the Beej Mantra of Goddess of Baglamukhi also known as Peetambra Devi.
Every mantra has some particular results associated with it for example Lakshmi Mantra is used to remove financial difficulties, Baglamukhi Mantra is used to defeat enemies etc. One needs to Siddh any mantra before using it. Without siddhi mantras will not give desired results. Mantra siddhi is not an easy task. Some people think that only chanting a mantra for particular times is enough to siddh but it is not entierly true. Hence most of the people fail and starts to say that Tantra and Mantra are useless. Here are few things that one should follow to attain mantra siddhi.
Yantra
Yantra means a talisman, or instrument or AmuletorKavachwhich, if prepared and created by a qualified person as well as utilised under his specific instructions for fruitful results, will help to gain the objector objects of desire or ambition. Although it would not be a difficult task for most of us to copy the form of a yantra, it would not have the desired effect. It is useless if not created by a qualified person and theninfusedwith the specific energy via the medium of Mantra and tantra. Otherwise, it becomes just an interesting form or picture to look at, but has no real effect on time or circumstances within life.
Yantras should always be used on the level. If drawn on paper the colours preferable are red, orange, yellow or a combination of these. A Yantra without bija Mantras is dead. They can be drawn to whatever size is required. In worship they should be placed level on a pedestal or pitha. Before any Yantra is a suitable object for puja, it must be given life (pranapratishta).
A Yantra is essential in every field of your life, to attain success in your profession, to acquire wealth, to win in court cases, to ward off diseases and to progress in meditation. By having a Yantra and keeping it in a sacred place in your house, worshipping it everyday can fulfill your desires and help in attaining your goals.
There are different types of Yantras for different purposes. They can help you to attain success in your business, bring the person under your control, and bring wealth and prosperity to you. The Yantras have to be purified and energized before using it. Yantras energized during the nights of Maha Shivratri, Holi and Diwali are most effective and powerful. Normally the related Mantras are also chanted in the presence of the Yantras for quick results.
The Yantra provides a focal point that is a window into the absolute. When the mind is concentrated on a single, simple object (in this case a Yantra), the mental chatter ceases. Eventually, the object is dropped when the mind can remain empty and silent without help. In the most advanced phases, it is possible to attain union with God by the geometric visualization of a Yantra.
The Yantra reflects the powers of the specific deity and by tuning into the different Yantras you can tap into certain deities or creative force centers in the universe.
Yantras are usually designed so that the eye is carried into the center, and very often they are symmetrical.
TANTRA
Tan :Tread, Web , Strength, Spread, Spend and Tra :Tools or Instruments
Tantra is an eminent science having thousands of principles. In fact, it is the system of our life and a science of practice and practical knowledge. Through Tantra, we can attain superb powers by attracting and deriving the divine faculties pervading the entire cosmos. The aspirant of Tantra makes his internal capacity sharp and intensely forceful just like a magnet. This science is the process of activating the various dormant vital glands and Chakras of the astral form, present inside the human body. It makes us aware of the truth that a person can get liberation from his own subjugation, can achieve immense power and even with the physical body present, can free himself from his body and expand his faculties infinitely.
Each and every element of the nature is associated with the other. Every action has a definite basis and for that action, there also exists an equal and opposite reaction.
In fact, Tantra leads to the path of self surrender and it pertains to all the aspects of physical and parapsychological life. Life, a divine gift bestowed upon by the Almighty can be fully purposeful by regenerating one's inner creative faculties and giving 'Karma', a predominant role in our lives and this is the genesis of life's purposefulness and success.
An unchallenged master of Tantra himself, Gurudev's Sadhana discourses often pivoted on this science and he once said :
"One who fears Tantra cannot be a human ; and a Sadhak he never can be. In the times of Guru Gorakhnath Tantra was a much respected science popular in all stratas of society for it has in it solutions to all problems of life.
Actually Mantra is a prayer, it is a request put to the concerned deity to help one. But it is not necessary that the deity shall be moved by one's plea. On the other hand if one uses Tantra one could compel the divine power to help. Tantra in fact is a guarantee that the concerned deity shall without fail have to shower its blessings.
A prayer may fail to touch the heart of the deity but Tantra forces it to grant the desired boon. The Sadhanas in Tantra and Mantra methods might appear similar yet Tantra is a thousand fold more powerful and unfailing.
